About Designer
Gianfranco Frattini was an Italian architect and designer born in 1926 in Padua. He graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1953 and spent his career focusing on interior and industrial design. A founding member of the Industrial Design Association (ADI), Frattini became a renowned industrial designer internationally. Notably, his chair model 849, designed in 1956, was nominated for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award, highlighting his impactful contributions to design.
